There are so many things that I love about Batangas – weather, people, beaches, mountains and lately, their cafes. I can say that this is my favorite place I have lived in. While there are many cafes in Lipa that I visited, I was quite impressed today with our visit to Loghouse Cafe, it’s al fresco and very earthy with pine trees.

I like the interior and customer service. What just didn’t quite hit the mark for me was their food. Food was a bit pricy for the over all taste but I would still go back if I have friends who will come over to visit me here, in Batangas. The price ranges from 200-600 Php. We had cheeseburger, pomodoro pasta, sunny dried tomato truffle, nachos, BLT, Spanish latte, Log Cafe Latte. I like the juiciness of the patty of the cheeseburger, the bread was soft and tasty. My promodoro pasta was cooked down just enough to form the light sauce I also like their specialty coffee – Log House Special- with a darker roast and chocolatey notes, just perfect for me. I did not like the lava cake – it was dry. I was expecting it to be moist and chocolatey but it failed and I was really disappointed. Overall, I’d rate this as 3 out of 5.
